Hi,
I am running mysql 5.5 on debian server. I was stable since few years but suddenly I started getting error message of database. I checked logs and found messages like this.
121218 3:00:00 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Table 'tablename' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
121218 3:00:00 [ERROR] /usr/sbin/mysqld: Sort aborted: Table 'tablename' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
Its been more than 5 days not its crashing every early morning. Can anyone tell me what is the permanent solution for this?

Hi,
Can you please let me know the table type MYISAM/INNODB ?
MySQL MYISAM tables are crashing probably due to following reasons.
The mysqld process is killed in the middle of a write
Hardware failures.
A software bug in the MySQL or MyISAM code.
You are using an external program (such as myisamchk) to modify a table that is being modified by the server at the same time
If its getting frequent problem than you should change table to innodb for getting best performance.
you can search "myisam vs InnoDB"
